Eyes 2026: Microblading and Lash Lifts, the Rising Trend
The eye area remains one of the most worked-on zones of the face in salons, and 2026 confirms a trend already underway in recent seasons: structured yet natural brows, and lifted lashes without extensions. Two techniques currently dominate salon requests: microblading and lash lifting.
Microblading involves redrawing the brow hair by hair using a micro-blade, for a semi-permanent result that lasts several months. It’s a precision technique that demands great rigour in choosing the shape and shade, based on facial morphology — one of the trickiest points taught in our module dedicated to semi-permanent brows. Done well, microblading structures the eye area without ever looking artificial.
Lash lifting, meanwhile, appeals to clients seeking a natural everyday effect, without extensions or demanding maintenance. The technique involves curling the natural lash from its root and setting it in place, for an open-eyed look that lasts several weeks. Combined with a brow lamination, the effect is particularly sought after before events where minimal make-up is preferred.
These two techniques share one thing in common: their success depends almost entirely on the precision of the movement and the prior diagnosis, far more than on the equipment used. That’s why we devote considerable practice time to them in the curriculum, under the supervision of our specialised trainers.
